So we go from a visit from my dad almost straight into a camping trip. This was really the only free weekend the entire time Brianna was here and the girls really wanted to ride the quad (off road ATV with 4 wheels instead of 3 as the original ones had). We were going to go up the the "normal" spot on the east side of the state but decided to try someplace new. We headed up north and had a hard time finding a spot that worked for what we wanted. We first went to a lake that was completely full plus it didn't have very good off road trails so we just started hitting camp sites along the way back. The first 3 we went to were full. We were getting really nervous that we weren't going to be camping at all never mind being able to ride the quad. Finally a camp host at the 3rd place we stopped told us of one that was open. We went there and took one of the last 3 spots. Shortly after we pulled in the other 2 were taken. That was close! This one had a really strong river running in the back part of the site that we couldn't fish in but it was beautiful!
We were only there for one night though because there was a place to ride. Scott and the girls went on a search for a better place first thing the next morning and we were so glad the did. The second place we stopped was perfect! Scott left the girls and the quad there to save the spot and came back to get me, the boy, the dogs and the trailer. I don't think we have packed up camp so fast before!
